Guidelines for sending microbial cultures for taxonamical studies.?

Only thing I can think of is ask the place you're sending it off to for what you might have to do. You'd have to seal it and all and I'm probably thinking maybe a courier since if it's a live organism, theres no way that's going through the normal mail system.
