Profiling of individuals by TSA?

Do you believe that it is profiling to have an East Indian male who wears a turban in obedience to his faith to remove their turban for security purposes (hiding a weapon in the garment) prior to boarding an aircraft? What about having Christians remove their crosses from around their neck for inspection purposes (possible stabbing weapon)? Please qualify your answer. Thanks.
