If I unfriend her, will it hurt her feelings?

I have a coworker that I was a good friend for some time. Now I can't stand her because she's way too catty & behave snarky toward me. If things aren't going well w/me, she's the best friend in the world; but if they're bad, she doesn't talk to me much. Anyway, I want to keep my entire life private from her as best I can so I deleted her from fb; I just told her that I closed my account (I made myself unsearchable). Do you think she'll suspect that I'm still there?
